The Federal Government appointed Country SA PHN to enhance the delivery of focused and appropriate health services to the rural communities of South Australia.

The goal of the organisation is to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of health services for people particularly those at risk of poor health outcomes, improve the coordination of health services, and increase access and quality support for people.

Description:

The Role

The Contract and Compliance Officer is responsible for the efficient and accurate administration of all contracts and tenders issued by Country SA PHN.

Under the direction of the Executive Manager, this role supports compliance to best practice procurement and contract management principles to deliver the greatest possible health perks for all country South Australians through a rigorous commissioning and contracting process.

The Contract and Compliance Officer works in conjunction with the Commissioning team and other relevant portfolios to establish and manage systems, processes and policies that advance best practice organisational commissioning. This includes support to procurement activities and contract and performance management.

Essential Criteria

Qualifications:

- Relevant qualifications or experience in a health-related discipline, business management, health administration or related discipline.

Desirable Criteria

- An appreciation of primary health care culture and the issues currently facing primary health care services
- Sound health literacy with knowledge of primary health care principles and practice
- An understanding of ethics and confidentiality issues particularly in relation to the health and medical professions
- Demonstrated experience in working with rural communities
