About The Role
We are looking for a talented, ambitious, and passionate Interior Designer who has worked hard to establish a solid foundation and is now looking for the next step up in their career. This is an outstanding opportunity for a discerning designer to leverage their experience and join our thriving Sydney office as part of our award-winning National Interior Design team.
We work on projects of varying sizes across the Education, Commercial, and Workspace sectors, and experience in at least one of these areas is a MUST. There will be plenty of opportunity to learn and grow in this role, with wonderful mentors who are at the cutting edge of the industry.
Our interior design team work on projects individually and as a team, managing a project from end to end so there is the opportunity to hone your skills across all project phases. Vital to our success is our ability to communicate designs and concepts through all mediums including Revit, Enscape, InDesign, and Photoshop, and more progressive design technology including VR and AI.
Our open and light-filled Sydney studio is in the heart of the Sydney CBD, close to trains, buses, and ferries, with onsite showers for those who enjoy riding or running to work. You will become part of our fun-loving, dedicated, and creative team of Architects, Architectural Technicians, and Interior Designers.
General Duties
- Contribute to all project phases: strategy, concept design, space planning, design development, and documentation, to on-site construction management and contract administration
- Contribute to client briefings, workshops, design, and design development
- Create designs and documentation in Revit
- Prepare presentations and communicate designs in multiple forums such as Revit, Enscape, InDesign, Photoshop, etc.
- Work cohesively in both small and large teams
About You
Ideally you have experience working in Education, Commercial, or Workspace and are looking for an opportunity to grow and develop further.
As a national Revit firm, you will need solid Revit skills and an ability to produce drawings up to an acceptable level for design development.
To Be Successful In This Role You Will Need
- Bachelor’s degree in interior design or interior architecture (or equivalent qualification)
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience as an Interior Designer in either Education OR Commercial OR Workspace sectors
- Strong Revit skills
- Ability to contribute to all project phases: concept design, space planning, design development, documentation to in office construction management and contract administration
- An understanding of the fundamental BCA’s and related building regulations and specifications
- Strong presentation and rendering skills; Sketch-up, InDesign, Photoshop, Enscape, Rhino, and MS Office Suite will be highly regarded
- Excellent communication skills and ability to proactively communicate with team members, consultants, and clients
- Demonstrated proactive and team-oriented approach to projects
- Personal pride and accountability in your work
- The capacity to work as part of a team with the ability to work autonomously
- Ability to work on more than one project as required
