The role is responsible for planning and implementing security measures to protect computer systems, networks, and data according to the information security policies and framework in line with NSW Government’s requirements and guidelines.

The role is an Ongoing Full time position.

Key knowledge, experience and essential requirements

As the successful candidate, you will have:

- Relevant tertiary qualifications or industry certification and/or equivalent professional technical experience in systems, networks, enterprise applications, or similar.
- Proven experience in IT Security technologies, such as endpoint protection, web application firewall, access control methodologies, SIEM tools, email gateways and vulnerability scanners, IDAM technologies, Microsoft Entra ID.
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of security architecture of cloud systems, such as Office 365, Salesforce and Azure, and experience with design and implementation of security architecture for perimeter firewalls, IPS/IDS systems, and corporate networks.
- Demonstrated experience and skills in application security assessments, penetration testing methodologies and techniques, with proven capability to recommend mitigation strategy on vulnerabilities and non-compliance.
- Demonstrated knowledge of ITSM.
- Politically neutral with no affiliation to political parties or lobbyists/campaigners.
- Satisfactory criminal Record check result.
