Hays is partnering with a large and complex organisation currently undertaking a significant enterprise-wide ERP transformation. As part of this strategic program, an experienced SAP Implementation Finance Lead is required to drive the finance work stream through design, implementation, testing, deployment and business adoption activities. This is an opportunity to play a key leadership role within a high-profile SAP implementation.
Your new role
Reporting into the ERP Project leadership team, you will act as the primary business representative for the Finance stream, ensuring finance processes, controls and reporting requirements are successfully embedded within the new ERP environment. You will partner closely with stakeholders, implementation partners and subject matter experts to deliver project outcomes across the full lifecycle.
Key responsibilities
- Leading finance process design workshops and Fit-to-Standard activities.
- Driving SAP best practice adoption and challenging unnecessary customisation.
- Managing finance-related data migration activities including cleansing, mapping and validation.
- Supporting integrations with banking, payroll and third‑party systems.
- Leading User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect management and business sign‑off.
- Developing finance training materials and supporting organisational change initiatives.
- Coordinating cutover, go‑live readiness and post‑implementation support activities.
- Ensuring finance controls,
governance and reporting requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle.
What you'll need to succeed
- CA or CPA qualification.
- Extensive senior finance leadership experience within large and complex organisations.
- Previous experience leading finance streams within ERP implementation programs.
- Robust SAP implementation experience.
- Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
- Advanced understanding of finance processes, controls, governance and financial reporting.
- Proven capability managing finance data migration, testing and change management activities.
- Ability to engage and influence stakeholders across all levels of the business.
- Strong risk management, problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
- Experience within joint venture accounting and asset‑intensive environments will be highly regarded.
What you'll get in return

- Hourly rate of $100 to $150 per hour + super, dependent on experience.
