strategic relationships with miners, traders, and shipping companies, and increasing market

share in the marine survey segment.

Queensland handles significant coal exports through major terminals such as: Port of Gladstone

Hay Point Coal Terminal Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal Abbot Point

Responsibilities

1. Business Development : Secure coal vessel survey nominations and achieve annual revenue targets in Queensland ports.

2. Key Account Management : Manage relationships with miners, exporters, traders, terminals, and ship agents in Gladstone & Mackay.

3. Port Marketing : Track vessel line-ups, coordinate nominations, and position company as preferred coal surveyor.

4. Commercial & Tenders : Handle RFQs, prepare pricing, and negotiate long-term vessel-based contracts.

5. Market Intelligence : Monitor Queensland coal exports, competitor activity,



and Asia-bound cargo trends.

6. Operations Coordination : Ensure 24/7 surveyor deployment, schedule alignment, and issue resolution at port level.

7. Branding : Represent company in industry forums and promote marine survey & coal inspection services.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing / Marine / Mining / Logistics / Business

MBA (Marketing or International Business) preferred Experience:

8–15 years in:

- Coal inspection
- Marine survey
- Cargo inspection
- Shipping/logistics (bulk commodities)

Robust network in Queensland coal ports is highly preferred

Key Skills Required

Strong network with ship agents and exporters

Knowledge of draft survey and coal inspection standards (ISO/ASTM)

Port operations and vessel scheduling knowledge

Strategic business development in bulk commodity sector
