Our client is seeking an experienced Site Operations Lead to manage the day-to-day operations of a utility-scale solar farm. Reporting to the O&M; Manager, you will ensure protected, reliable, and efficient site performance while maintaining high standards across safety, compliance, and asset management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a strong safety culture and drive Zero Harm across site activities
- Oversee site access, inductions, permits, and compliance
- Manage inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance to meet operational targets
- Identify and implement condition-based maintenance and resolve performance issues with technical teams
- Monitor and report on site budget, resource allocation, and contractor performance
- Manage spare parts inventory and ensure timely replenishment
- Maintain CMMS records, schedule maintenance,
and train staff on system usage
- Collaborate with peers across the network to share best practices and drive operational efficiency
Skills & Experience
- Electrical Licence, preferably with nominee capabilities; HV switching qualifications
- Minimum 5 years in a similar role, preferably in solar or renewable energy
- Knowledge of solar plant operations, inverters, transformers, and SCADA systems
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage contractors and multi-disciplinary teams effectively
- Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred
