Action Drill & Blast, a leading provider of integrated drilling and blasting services in Australia, is seeking an experienced Drill or Diesel Fitter for a Full‑Time 7/7 DIDO position at the Yarrabee Project near Blackwater, Central Queensland. The role is day shift only, with a closing date of 30/08/.
The position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and offers a wage range of $ to $ per hour. Local accommodation allowance may apply for Blackwater residents.
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled servicing of REICHDrill rotary rigs
- Conduct unscheduled repairs as required
- Prioritise workloads and unscheduled repairs
- Maintain and service support equipment
- Fulfil all safety requirements and maintenance reporting obligations
Essential Skills and Requirements
- Trade Certificate (Mechanical)
- Proficiency with hand tools
- Valid driver licence
- High level of diagnostic and fault‑finding skills in the field
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Physical fitness and capability to perform manual labour
Desirable Skills
- Experience with heavy machinery maintenance
- Refrigerant handling licence
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Robust communication skills and safety awareness
- Experience working at heights
