Clermont Open Cut, located on the western edge of the Bowen Basin, is a high‑performing truck & shovel operation that produces 12 million tonnes of coal per annum. The operation is safe, dynamic, and inclusive, focused on delivering high‑performance outcomes.

Required Equipment Skills

- Hitachi 5600 / 5500-6 / 3600
- P&H; 4100 XPC

Responsibilities

- Protected and efficient operation of heavy mobile equipment
- Perform full range of mining tasks to meet production targets
- Promote and maintain high safety performance and workplace culture through teamwork, personal commitment, and application of Clermont Open Cut values
- Promote positive relationships with stakeholders and community
- Take all reasonable steps to minimise environmental impact

Additional Requirements

- Current Standard 11 Induction (desirable)
- Current Coal Board Medical (desirable)
- Verified Training Transcript/Skills list
- Current Australian Driver’s License
- Right to work in Australia
- Strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement culture
- Ability to follow a plan and adapt to a dynamic, changing environment
- Team player with high safety awareness
- Positive attitude, reliability, and proactive work ethic

Location

Clermont is one and a quarter hour drive from Emerald, three‑and‑half hour drive from Mackay, and five hours drive from Townsville. Employees commute from multiple locations across Queensland or live locally within the Isaac Region.
