Are you an experienced Project Controls skilled who thrives on delivering complex projects through effective planning, scheduling, cost control and performance reporting? Shadbolt Group is seeking an experienced Project Controls professional to join our growing Projects team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the successful delivery of major infrastructure, defence and industrial projects by providing accurate planning, scheduling, reporting and project performance insights.
About The Role
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will support project delivery through the implementation and management of project controls across multiple projects. You will work closely with project managers, commercial teams, engineers and site personnel to monitor project performance, identify risks and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain and update integrated project schedules using Primavera P6.
- Monitor project progress against approved baselines.
- Perform Critical Path Method (CPM) analysis and identify schedule risks.
- Prepare weekly and monthly project reports, dashboards and forecasts.
- Support project cost control, forecasting and Earned Value Management (EVM).
- Assist with delay analysis and Extension of Time (EOT) submissions.
- Monitor project performance, identify variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate project information across engineering, procurement, commercial and site teams.
- Support project risk management and change control processes.
- Maintain accurate project controls documentation and reporting systems.
About You
You are a proactive, analytical and organised professional who enjoys working in a collaborative project environment. You have strong planning and reporting skills and can communicate effectively with both technical and operational stakeholders.
You Will Bring
- Demonstrated experience in Project Controls within construction, engineering, defence, mining, infrastructure or industrial projects.
- Advanced Primavera P6 scheduling experience.
- Strong knowledge of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling.
- Experience with project reporting, forecasting and performance measurement.
- Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) and project cost control principles.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A Degree or Diploma in Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline (desirable).
