Overview

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the world’s most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform. As a member of the AWS Support team, you will help individuals and businesses move their computing infrastructures and applications into the Cloud. The AWS Managed Services team in Sydney accelerates cloud adoption and provides ongoing management of AWS infrastructure using automation, machine learning, and dedicated support.

Key Job Responsibilities

- Operate the Managed Service platform and collaborate with internal service teams to meet customers’ individual needs for infrastructure and application deployments.
- Troubleshoot application deployments, recreate customer issues, and build proof‑of‑concept applications. Apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to provide unique solutions.
- Work on critical, highly complex customer problems that span multiple AWS services.
- Help build and maintain CloudFormation templates and scripts to automate and deploy AWS resources and configuration changes.
- Collaborate and build utilities and tools for internal use that enable AWS Engineers to operate safely at high speed and wide scale.
- Leverage day‑to‑day experiences to provide the voice of the customer to internal AWS teams.
- Drive customer communication during critical events.
- Learn and leverage emerging technologies.
- Work in flexible shift hours for 24/7/365 operations.

Basic Qualifications

- 3+ years of network and operating system support experience.
- 3+ years of virtualization, orchestration and cloud computing experience (e.g.,



Hypervisors, VMware, Xen).
- 3+ years of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) experience.
- 3+ years of information security and compliance experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent, or 3+ years of technical support experience.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience implementing a cloud‑based technology solution or experience with systems administration (Linux/Windows), network administration (DNS, IPsec, BGP, VPN, Load Balancing), or programming (Node.JS, Java, Ruby, C#, Python, or PHP).
- Experience leading the design, development and deployment of business software at scale or recent hands‑on experience with technology infrastructure, network, compute, storage, and virtualization.
- Experience deploying, managing, and optimizing Microsoft Windows Server, or experience with automation and version control tools and Linux OS network troubleshooting.
- Experience in automation through DevOps scripting (e.g., shell, Python, Ruby, PowerShell).
- Experience setting up, maintaining and coordinating automated patch and configuration management of production servers.
