Location: Stuart, Townsville

We’re looking for an experienced Freight Operator to join our team at our Stuart depot in Townsville on a casual basis (28.5 hours per week). This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on work, operating heavy equipment, and being part of a team that values safety and flexibility.

Responsibilities

- Operate medium/heavy forklifts and reach stacker; provision, service, clean and perform lower‑level maintenance on rolling stock.
- Serviceability checks on all machines.
- Operate and maintain heavy lifting equipment (exceeding 16 tonne) and other sundry terminal and site equipment.

Qualifications

- Ability to demonstrate mechanical aptitude.
- RS Class Drivers Licence (preferred).
- DG licence would be highly regarded, but not essential (will be obtained during employment).
- Forklift & crane tickets.




- Strong commitment to safety and knowledge of rules and regulations of operations area, Workplace Health & Safety, and Dangerous Goods.
- Robust problem‑solving and communication skills.
- A willingness to work day, afternoon & night shift (up to 12 hr shifts) and including weekend work as required.
