About the Role
We are looking for an Initial Assessment and Planning Worker to provide rapid crisis intervention and interim support to individuals and families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in Warrnambool, VIC. The role is a permanent part‑time position of 19 hours per week, reporting to the Team Leader.
Responsibilities
- Utilise a strengths‑based, trauma‑informed and client‑centred model of support.
- Undertake quality assessments and provide short‑term/interim support.
- Develop professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Complete reporting and data collection as directed by management.
- Use technology and software applications effectively in accordance with task requirements.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Welfare, a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience and highly developed skills in working with people who have multiple and complex needs.
- Ability to assist with carrying items short distances where required (e.g., taking donated items to clients).
- Current Victorian Employee Working with Children Check.
