About Cahoots
Cahoots is a not-for-profit organisation that takes young people living with disabilities out on camps, programs, and adventures! Our programs aim to bring our participants together in a group setting, and then doing fun activities throughout the day to encourage growth, independence, and friendship building! All programs are run by passionate Cahoots Facilitators and dedicated volunteers, with the aim to make sure that all Cahoots participants have the best experience possible. Whilst on program, all volunteers get access to all activities for free, and transportation is provided.
Role Overview
As a Saturday Program Leader, you will have the honour of being a mentor, advocate, and friend to young people living with disabilities for the duration of a 5 hour program. Your primary role will be to ensure their safety and well-being, while also empowering them to make friends, build independence, learn new skills, and celebrate their unique identities. This is an exciting chance to make a meaningful impact in the lives of these extraordinary individuals during their weekend.
About the Services
Our programs take place every Saturday, from 10 am to 2 pm for participants aged 5-17, and from 4 pm to 8 pm for those 18 and above. As a Program Leader, you'll receive complimentary transportation and access to all activities.
Training
Rest assured, you won't be on this journey alone. Our volunteer leaders receive support from professional support workers and facilitators throughout all our programs. Before you embark on this fulfilling role, our volunteer coordinator will provide you with comprehensive guidance and training. Mandatory 2-hour online training modules and an induction session.

Aside from the training, volunteers can choose their commitment and frequency. Our weekend programs run every Saturday. Our programs runs from 9:30 am - 2:30 pm for participants aged 5-17, and 3:30 pm - 8:30 pm for those 18 and above.
