Project Manager – Earthworks (FIFO)

Lead the delivery of one of Queensland's largest renewable energy infrastructure projects. Symal Infrastructure is seeking an experienced Project Manager – Earthworks to join our team on a 2:1 FIFO roster delivering the Gawara Baya Wind Farm in North Queensland.

About the Project

The Gawara Baya Wind Farm is a landmark renewable energy development located approximately 2.5 hours from Townsville. Symal Infrastructure has been awarded the major civil works package, including:

- 68 Wind Turbine Foundations
- 78 km of Internal Access Roads
- 1.8 million m³ of Earthworks
- 55,000 m³ of Concrete
- 800,000 tonnes of Crushed Gravel
- Major Bridge Construction
- Peak Workforce of 300+

About The Role

You will be responsible for:

- Leading the planning and delivery of large‑scale earthworks packages
- Managing project programs, budgets, resources, and subcontractors
- Driving productivity,



commercial performance and project outcomes
- Managing project risks, variations, claims, and contractual obligations
- Building strong relationships with clients, consultants and stakeholders
- Ensuring compliance with safety, environmental and quality requirements
- Leading and mentoring Project Engineers, Site Engineers and Supervisors
- Delivering projects safely, on schedule and within budget

About You

- Proven experience delivering major civil infrastructure projects valued at $10M+
- Extensive experience managing bulk earthworks and large‑scale civil construction
- Solid leadership experience managing multidisciplinary project teams
- Excellent commercial acumen with experience managing contracts and project controls
- Strong understanding of safety, environmental and quality management systems
- Civil Engineering degree or equivalent industry experience
- Excellent communication, planning and stakeholder management skills
