Manufacturing Support Engineer required at Cochlear, based in Macquarie University or Lane Cove. Provides engineering support during manufacturing of cochlear implant and external accessories, focusing on yield, quality, throughput and problem resolution.
Responsibilities
- First point of contact for manufacturing on yield, quality and throughput issues.
- Provide solutions to production problems and analyse manufacturing rejects.
- Reclaim where possible, identify and rectify root causes of rejects.
- Process non-conformances accurately and effectively.
- Ensure compliance with quality systems and regulatory bodies.
- Identify opportunities for safety, quality and cost improvements.
- Execute root cause investigations and document corrective action reports.
Qualifications
- Essential tertiary qualifications in Mechanical,
Mechatronics, Biomedical or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience in a similar manufacturing role and within a manufacturing management system.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills.
- Willingness to work at Macquarie University or Lane Cove.
Preferred Experience
- Vision recognition or automation experience.
- Experience in a highly regulated industry.
- Experience with Lean methodology.
- Experience in laser welding, moulding or manual assembly.
