Clermont Open Cut, located on the western edge of the Bowen Basin is a high‑performing truck and shovel operation that produces 12 million tonnes of coal per annum. Reporting to Mining & Mining Support Supervisors, we have multiple vacancies for the following positions: Experienced Shovel Operators and Experienced Excavator Operators. To be successful in these roles you will have the ability to safely and confidently operate at least one of the following machines: Hitachi 5600 / 5500‑6 / 3600 and P&H; 4100 XPC.
Responsibilities
- The safe and efficient operation of heavy mobile equipment.
- Performing the full range of mining tasks to meet production targets.
- Promoting and maintaining a high level of positive safety performance and workplace culture through teamwork, personal commitment, and application of the Clermont Open Cut values.
- Promoting positive relationships with our stakeholders and community.
- Taking all reasonable steps to minimise impact on the environment.
Requirements
- Current Standard 11 Induction (desirable).
- Current Coal Board Medical (desirable).
- Verified Training Transcript / Skills list.
- Current Australian Driver’s License.
- Right to work in Australia.
- Strong commitment to safety and a continuous improvement culture.
- The ability to follow a plan and the resilience to adapt to a dynamic, changing environment.
- Be a team player with a high level of safety awareness.
- Positive attitude, reliability, and a commitment to working proactively.
