Zone Manager | Distribution Centre

Our client is a well‑established Australian retail group with a national presence across online and in‑store channels. Due to continued growth, they’re seeking an experienced Zone Manager to join their contemporary, semi‑automated fulfilment operation.

This is a hands‑on leadership role at the coalface of a fast‑paced logistics environment, managing a high‑performing team across picking, packing, inbound and outbound functions. You’ll lead by example, coach and develop your team, and use data to continuously improve performance and productivity.

The Role

- Manage day‑to‑day operations across your zone, delivering quality customer service and logistics outcomes
- Lead daily toolbox sessions covering safety, performance and site updates to teams of up to 60
- Own health and safety performance and incident management for your area
- Build strong working relationships across zones and with key stakeholders
- Analyse weekly and forecast performance data against budget, identifying opportunities for improvement
- Partner with the Inventory team on cycle counts, audits and stocktakes




- Lead process improvement and CI initiatives across picking and packing

About You

- Proven operational management experience in a large format warehouse, ideally semi or fully automated
- A track record of leading, developing and motivating large teams (20+) to exceed KPIs
- Working knowledge of WMS and conveyor systems
- Confident communicator, comfortable speaking to and leading large groups
- A growth mindset, genuine curiosity and a track record of delivering CI or process improvement projects
- Strong change management and stakeholder management skills
- Retail experience highly regarded
