Job Description

This role is a Permanent full time position on an 8:6 roster, Monday to Monday, FIFO from Brisbane and Townsville, or DIDO from Mount Isa, Cloncurry and McKinlay shires.

As the Metallurgy Technician, you will be responsible for providing metallurgical and laboratory support via accurate and reliable testwork, sample collection and management, and technical data collection that contributes to safe and effective plant performance.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:

- Maintain a high standard of safety, housekeeping, and equipment reliability in the metallurgical laboratory
- Maintain testwork records with accuracy and attention to detail
- Assist metallurgists with project work and technical investigations

About the Candidate

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

- Laboratory or metallurgical testing within a minerals processing environment. Experience with base metals is highly regarded.
- Strong organisation and workload prioritisation skills
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Collaborative approach with a strong commitment to team success

Qualifications for this position are:

- Current Open Drivers Licence
