As an ASD 4 & 5 Cloud Engineer, you will be required to coordinate and contribute to the work of a team consistent to a work plan and provide advice and assistance on methods of task completion to team members. You will work alongside a number of cloud engineers and contribute to the successful delivery of platform solutions in support of ASD capability.

As an ASD 6 Cloud Engineer, you will (in addition to the above) work independently with chance for reasonable autonomy and accountability for the achievement of outcomes of your work. You will work alongside a number of cloud engineers and contribute to the successful delivery of platform solutions in support of ASD capability.

Cloud Engineers work closely with the engineering teams and platform stakeholders to ensure the platform is meeting business requirements and functional specifications, including ongoing sustainment and technical feasibility of the platform. You will contribute to strategic planning and be accountable towards ongoing self-improvement and professional development.

- Design, develop, deploy and manage cloud based infrastructure and applications.
- Proficiency and understanding of scripting, programming and automation tools.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices, containerization and continuous integration/ continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.




- Optimize cloud performance and configure cloud resources, implementing security measures, automating processes, and ensuring system reliability and scalability.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize cloud environments, troubleshoot issues, and support the continuous delivery of software.
- Ensuring that cloud infrastructure complies with security standards and regulations, such as the Information Security Manual (ISM) and the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF).
- Ensuring cloud infrastructure adheres to governance policies and compliance requirement including appropriate data protection and privacy controls.
- Remaining responsive and flexible, adapting as priorities change.
- Demonstrating interpersonal skills to foster and promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture that aligns with ASD values.
