Role Overview

Nuix is looking for a Group Product Manager to lead our AI product portfolio and set the product direction for how AI creates value for our customers. Reporting to the General Manager of Product, you will own a portfolio spanning our AI capability layer – NLP and data enrichment, the MCP layer, the API and developer platform, and the broader partner and agentic ecosystem. You will drive the AI vision and strategy across the whole portfolio, and lead a team of Product Managers to deliver it.

Location

This position will be based in our Sydney office. The candidate is required to attend the office a minimum of 3 days per week but may voluntarily elect to work either remotely or from the Sydney office for the remaining 2 days of the week.

Product Strategy & Roadmap

- Identify market opportunities, build clarity on ideal customer profiles, and shape the platform’s value proposition to win in target segments.
- Shape and drive the product strategy for Nuix’s AI and ML capabilities – enrichment, NLP, agents, MCP integrations and the API – aligned to the vision set with the General Manager of Product.
- Own the API and developer platform strategy: developer experience, partner integrations, and the commercial mechanics of programmatic access to the platform.
- Translate market signals, customer data,

and technical capabilities into a roadmap that drives acquisition, activation, and monetization and compounds over time.
- Track the evolving AI landscape (foundation models, agentic workflows, MCP and open protocols, RAG, AI governance regulation) and turn market signal into strategy.

Team Leadership & Capability Building

- Build, coach, and scale a team of Product Managers across the AI capability areas, fostering a culture of customer centricity, ownership, experimentation, and psychological safety.
- Embed modern product management practices (data‑driven discovery, continuous delivery, user‑centric design, and AI‑augmented workflows) across your team.

AI Capability

- Own and grow Nuix’s core AI capability – setting the model strategy with Data Science and Engineering and building on the owned models that make Nuix AI explainable and defensible.
- Partner closely with the Data Platform product group to ensure enrichment, AI agents and other intelligence capabilities are built as a native part of the platform.
- Stay across the evolving landscape of AI‑native development practices and bring an informed view of what good looks like, from how product teams work to how work flows through the PDLC.
- Ensure AI thinking is woven into day‑to‑day product and development decisions and ways of working.

Cross‑Functional & Commercial Alignment

- Bridge Product and Go‑To‑Market teams, ensuring smooth commercial launches, clear packaging inputs, and effective product enablement.
- Engage deeply with key enterprise customers, advisory boards, and partners to gather signal and evangelize the Nuix product vision.
- Own the go‑to‑market strategy, including priority use cases that anchor the value proposition, and how to enter the market as part of the broader platform.
- Own pricing and packaging strategy, translating platform value into commercial models that drive adoption, expansion, and monetization.
- Grow the partner and technology ecosystem, building out partner enablement and the developer community.

Metrics & Operational Excellence

- Define and track portfolio‑level metrics (adoption, engagement, accuracy, API usage, ecosystem growth, monetization) and hold the group accountable to outcomes.
- Use data to continuously evaluate product performance, inform prioritization, and justify investment decisions to senior stakeholders.
- Define evaluation frameworks and monitoring for AI quality – accuracy, precision/recall and explainability benchmarks.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

- Broad and deep experience in Product Management, including defining strategy, leading discovery and developing Product Managers (Group PM, Principal, Lead level).
- Demonstrated success shipping AI/ML‑powered products in complex, enterprise‑scale environments (big data, analytics, enterprise search, cybersecurity, legal tech or similar).
- Experience owning API or platform products: developer experience, partner integrations, and the commercial mechanics of an ecosystem.
- Working familiarity with NLP and data enrichment concepts (entity extraction, classification, semantic search) and how to measure their quality in production.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to influence senior technical leaders and business executives alike.
- Familiarity with AI‑native development workflows and a point of view on how AI reshapes the software development lifecycle.
- Commercial acumen with experience shaping packaging and commercialization inputs.

Desired Expertise

- Experience shipping AI into regulated or high‑scrutiny environments where explainability, defensibility and auditability are non‑negotiable.
- Hands‑on experience with MCP servers, agent frameworks, or LLM orchestration in production settings.
- Experience with graph visualization techniques for representing complex, connected data relationships.
- Familiarity with AI governance and emerging regulation (e.g. the EU AI Act) and what it means for enterprise product decisions.
- Sharp awareness of market and technology trends and a point of view on how the platform should respond and position itself.
