Overview

As a civilian Dental Professional working with the Australian Defence Force, you will deliver important clinical care to those who serve in the Army, Air Force, and Navy.

Responsibilities

- Provide chair‑side assistance to a Dentist, Dental Specialist or Hygienist.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as entering or updating patient records, and other duties as required.
- Assist in the promotion of oral health to patients.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant standards and procedures, including Defence Policies & Procedures.
- Contribute to the cleanliness and effectiveness of a dental surgery environment and maintain optimal hygiene.

Qualifications

- Certificate III in Dental Assisting or a nationally recognised equivalent qualification.
- Demonstrated compliance with relevant standards and procedures.
- Minimum of 2 years full‑time equivalent chair‑side experience within the last 5 years.




- Recent participation in Continuing Career development (CPD) activities.
- Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification.
