Calvary Bruce Private Hospital has an exciting opportunity for an experienced CSSD Manager.
This opportunity will allow the successful applicant to apply advanced leadership skills in staff management and CSSD service delivery.
About the role
The CSSD Manager will work closely with the Perioperative Services Manager and will be accountable for the daily operational management of CSSD. Our department is a busy unit providing RMDs to 8 operating theatres across an array of multiple Surgical Specialties including the provision of Adaptable Endoscopes to the Endoscopy Unit. CSSD is spacious and modern meeting all Gap Analysis requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Development of a team based environment while providing leadership and support to the CSSD team, working in partnership with the Procedural and Ward areas.
- Ensure standards, guidelines and legislative requirements are met with governance from assurance practice.
What you bring
The applicant will demonstrate their capability through their previous experience, attitude, skills,
behaviour and attributes which will include considerable CSSD experience and knowledge.
- Demonstrated understanding of the provision of CSSD services within a health care environment.
- Sound knowledge of current CSSD policies, procedures and safe work practices.
- Thorough understanding of the governing Australian Standards, Guidelines and legislative requirements relating to sterilisation and risk management principles as they relate to CSSD.
- The ability to motivate, inspire and lead staff to achieve service and professional goals.
- Demonstrated communication skills, including the ability to liaise effectively at all levels of work, and interact as part of a diverse professional team.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills including effective negotiation and conflict resolution.
- Formal qualifications in Sterilisation.
- Current Working with Vulnerable People Check or willingness to obtain.
- Demonstrated experience in data analysis and in providing reports for senior executives.
- A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation.
