Location: Melbourne (VIC)

As a Sr. Program Control Specialist you will partner with an integrated program team to develop program plans and create cost and schedule baselines. You will prepare and publish metrics and reports, analyze variances, and review compliance to corporate guidelines across multiple teams. Your findings will drive decisions to improve program performance at one or more site locations, and you will mentor and lead team members as needed.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and drive development of project control plans, WBS, cost budget and schedule baselines to measure project performance/success through KPIs on the largest, most complex, multi‑site projects
- Analyze project performance through cost and schedule integration, including unbilled, receivable and payable balances on assigned projects
- Analyze cost and schedule variance versus baseline, identify root cause and recommend corrective actions
- Prepare and publish metrics and financial reports
- Support/drive project forecasting, project reviews and monthly progress reporting to internal and external customers
- Apply Earned Value Management techniques to projects/programs and develop S‑curves
- Assist with change, risk and lead EAC management on assigned projects/programs
- Ensure effective communication and build relationships with the project team (internal/external)




- Monitor and report compliance as per GPMO requirements/Management Operating System; work with business management to report on financial performance
- Ensure compliance with relevant SOX controls
- Lead or support internal improvement processes or special assigned initiatives

Key Experience & Capabilities

- 7+ years experience in project controls
- Working knowledge of project management processes (cost, EVM, schedule, baseline development, resource and budget allocation, performance measurement)
- Experience with external customer interfacing
- Ability to influence at varying levels across the organization
- Ability to convey complex messages clearly to diverse audiences
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsiga)
- Proficient Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Project, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Expert level experience in financial data compilation, analysis and metrics management
- Project Management, Project Schedule Skilled (PMI‑SP), or Cost Engineering certification
- Strong experience with cost control, scheduling (Waterfall/Agile/Lean/Scrum), time management and contract management
