Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN) position is available in Appleton, Wisconsin. This role involves providing high-quality emergency care on a 12-hour night shift schedule. The position requires solid clinical skills and experience in emergency services, with a focus on triage and patient assessment within a busy ER environment.

Job Details:

Certifications: Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN), American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS), AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

all required

Education: Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred

Minimum of 3 years of experience required, with at least 2 years in emergency room settings and triage experience strongly preferred

Location Requirements: No travelers coming from a facility or their home location within 50 miles from the facility site

Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts (scheduled from 1900 to 0700), minimum of 36 hours per week

Holiday Rotation: Potential to work night before holidays and on holidays

Float: Float rotation may be required within all ThedaCare facilities within a 60-mile radius

Charting:



Epic system, within the last year required

Position start date: 08/03/2026

Contract length: 13 weeks, with start date ASAP

Bed size: 18 beds

Patient Ratio: 1:4

Scrub Color: Solid black for all RNs

No new travelers; at least one completed assignment required

Shift Notes: 12-hour nights, with any missed shifts made up within two weeks of absence.
