Location: Brisbane CBD, hybrid working flexibility.

Contract: Temporary until 30/06/2027, possible extensions.

Pay: $51.12 - $56.72 per hour + super.

About The Role

Our client is a QLD government organisation based in the Brisbane CBD. They are currently seeking a Payroll Officer to come in and work with them on a temp contract opportunity until 30/06/27 with possible extensions.

Key Responsibilities

- End-to-End Payroll Management: Process and validate timely, accurate end-to-end payroll and establishment transactions.
- Administrative & Data Support: Provide high-quality business support, including data entry, spreadsheet management, and word processing.
- Customer Service & Stakeholder Engagement: Deliver exceptional customer service and develop productive, respectful working relationships with all stakeholders.
- Time Management & Prioritization: Demonstrate strong organizational skills to effectively prioritize competing demands and meet strict deadlines.
- Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Identify, recommend, and participate in initiatives to optimise payroll processes and support personal professional development.




- Team Collaboration & Flexibility: Work both independently and flexibly within a collaborative team environment to achieve shared goals.

Qualifications

- Proven high volume end-to-end payroll processing experience
- Previous federal, state, or local government experience
- Proven experience and knowledge with SAP system

You will be an experienced Payroll professional with proven experience and reliability in previous positions.
