Job Description

Step into a role where your ideas and curiosity genuinely matter. As a Graduate Building Physics and Sustainability Engineer, you’ll contribute to real projects from your first week. You’ll support building envelope design, undertake building performance modelling and technical analysis across a variety of projects.

Locations: Melbourne and Brisbane.

You’ll be involved in

- Integrative sustainable design: supporting sustainability certification, frameworks, regenerative design and town planning reporting.
- Performance and experience: learning about existing asset optimisation, daylight, glare and IEQ analysis on current developments.
- Building and envelope physics: undertaking thermal bridging analysis and exploring Passivhaus principles.
- Resilience and responsibility: contributing to net‑zero strategy, carbon‑responsible design, life cycle assessments and material choices.

Key Responsibilities

Teamwork: Work alongside specialists, learning how different disciplines collaborate to deliver projects.



Build relationships with clients and develop contacts within the industry. Pair with managers on projects across regions.

Problem Solving: Tackle real challenges, think creatively, and shape practical solutions that improve project performance outcomes and occupant experience. Use analysis and validation software packages to test and verify performance.

Quality Focus: Learn how to meet industry standards and regulations while delivering proud work. Review contractor submissions, drawings and calculations.

Qualifications

- Graduating prior to commencing full‑time work in February 2027.
- Tertiary degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic or Materials Engineering.
- Available to start February 2027 or earlier on a casual basis.
- Relevant work rights to live and work full‑time in Australia; this position is not open to applicants outside Australia.

- Strong interest in big‑picture design, architecture and built‑environment sustainability.
- Detail‑oriented and analytical.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
- Strong desire to learn and grow professionally.
- Previous student vacation/internship experience in a consulting environment highly desired.
