An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a growing engineering and manufacturing business that delivers bespoke equipment solutions to the mining and resources sector. This role offers the chance to work on complex projects from concept through to commissioning, collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver cutting-edge solutions for major industrial clients.

About the Role

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems for specialised mining equipment. You will be involved throughout the entire project lifecycle, including design, tender support, commissioning, and ongoing technical support.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop conceptual and detailed electrical designs for industrial equipment and systems.
- Prepare electrical schematics, layouts, specifications, and documentation.
- Select electrical equipment, hardware, and automation components.
- Assist with tender submissions, cost estimates, and technical proposals.
- Collaborate with mechanical, hydraulic, and process engineering teams.
- Provide site supervision during installation, construction, and commissioning activities.
- Carry out commissioning and testing of equipment at customer sites when required.




- Deliver technical support and troubleshooting assistance to customers post-project completion.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant Australian and international standards.

About You

To be successful in this position, you will have:

- Degree qualifications in Electrical Engineering.
- Practical experience in electrical distribution systems and industrial automation.
- Experience interpreting electrical drawings, P&IDs;, layouts, and technical specifications.
- Strong AutoCAD skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- PLC and HMI programming experience.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- A willingness to travel for site visits and commissioning activities when required.

Highly Regarded

- Experience within mining, minerals processing, heavy industry, or manufacturing environments.
- Exposure to large-scale industrial equipment projects.
