Job Description

We are seeking a Payroll Officer to join our team in a part-time,



12-month contract with the opportunity for hybrid working conditions.

The Role

Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role is responsible for developing protocols and investigating critical issues, ensuring accuracy and efficiency of operations, processing payroll, and any other payroll related functions as required.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

- Full end-to-end function of Payroll for the College
- Processing the fortnightly payroll run and associated PAYG, STP, Superannuation and Salary Sacrifice submissions
- Perform reconciliations and calculations as required
- Ownership of the Payroll system configuration
- Ensure compliance with legislation, awards and any other binding contractual obligations
- Production of monthly financial and management reports as required

About You

To be successful in this role you will bring the following skills and experience:

- 3+ years’ experience in managing end-to-end payroll
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to enable skilled interaction
- Working with Children Check (Blue Card) (or ability to obtain)
- Ability to demonstrate The Industry School values
- Right to work in Australia
- Knowledge of The Alpha School System (TASS)




- Prior experience within the Education Industry
- Knowledge and understanding of how Annualised Salaries work
