An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced CSSD Manager to join a modern, state‑of‑the‑art private hospital in Brisbane's northern suburbs. This 62‑bed facility features 4 operating theatres and 2 procedure rooms, supporting a diverse range of surgical specialties including Orthopaedics, Urology, Breast & Gynaecology, Plastics, Gastroenterology and Respiratory Services.

As the CSSD Manager, you will provide strategic and operational leadership to the Central Sterilising Services Department, ensuring the highest standards of sterilisation, infection prevention, and service delivery across the perioperative environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the day‑to‑day operations of the CSSD department
- Ensure compliance with relevant Australian Standards and accreditation requirements
- Drive quality, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage staffing, rostering, workforce planning, and performance




- Collaborate closely with perioperative leadership and multidisciplinary stakeholders
- Maintain efficient instrument tracking, inventory, and workflow processes
- Support staff development, education, and engagement

About You

- Current AHPRA registration (if applicable)
- Previous leadership experience within CSSD
- Solid knowledge of sterilisation practices and infection prevention standards
- Demonstrated ability to lead high‑performing teams
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Commitment to clinical excellence and patient safety
