MAARS are partnering with a fast-growing independent media agency in Sydney that operates with a startup mindset, values commercial thinking, and works as a true extension of its clients’ teams.

The Role

We’re looking for a Media Investment / Trading / Buying Manager with strong Australian agency experience who’s ready to take ownership of client relationships, campaign delivery, and media strategy across a diverse portfolio of brands.

You’ll be hands‑on across the full campaign lifecycle - from briefing and planning through to implementation, optimisation, reporting, and performance analysis.

This is a role for someone who enjoys both the detail of execution and the thinking behind the strategy, and who can confidently engage with clients in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment.

What you’ll do

- Plan, negotiate, and activate media across multiple channels with clear links to business outcomes
- Manage end‑to‑end campaign delivery including briefing, trafficking, implementation, and optimisation
- Monitor performance and proactively identify opportunities to improve results
- Negotiate rates,



placements, and value‑add opportunities
- Produce clear, insight‑driven reporting tied to client KPIs
- Collaborate closely with internal teams and clients to improve processes and outcomes

What we’re looking for

- 3+ years’ experience in a media agency - planning & buying media
- Strong understanding of the Australian media landscape – OOH, Streaming, TV, Audio, Digital
- Commercially minded with strong analytical thinking
- Confident communicator who can lead conversations and present recommendations
- Highly proactive, accountable, and outcome‑focused
- Thrives in quick‑moving, entrepreneurial environments – think startup
