About the Role
Paediatric Registrar – join the Paediatric team at Northern Health to gain exposure in acute, neonatal, and community paediatric medicine. The role includes rotation through a busy Paediatric Emergency Department, Neonatal Unit, and Children’s Unit.
Responsibilities
- Admit patients from ED and participate in high‑risk newborn deliveries
- Review infants on the post‑natal ward with supervision
- Attend daily consultant‑led outpatient clinics
- Attend weekly paediatric unit clinical meetings and rostered teaching sessions
- Cover Paediatric Ward, Neonatal ward, Paediatric outpatient clinics, Paediatric Community and Paediatric ED rotations (6‑12 months each)
Qualifications
- Medical registration with the Medical Board of Australia and AHPRA
- Current National Police and Working with Children History Check
- Enrolled in Paediatric Training through RACP as a Continuing basic trainee or Advanced Paediatric trainee
- Part‑time arrangements considered
