The Clyde & Co Melbourne office specialises in insurance and reinsurance.
The Programme
Our Clerkship programme is a 4‑week Summer or Winter Clerkship. Clerks will have exposure to different practice groups, gaining valuable experience and insights into various areas of law.
What To Expect
- Real Work Experience: Observe cases, draft responses, provide advice, and conduct research.
- Significant Deals: Get involved in important deals, meetings, and negotiations.
- Litigation Exposure: Attend court hearings, arbitrations, and mediations to see different types of litigation first‑hand.
- Insurance Law: Work alongside leading insurance lawyers to understand the complexities of insurance law.

Eligibility
- Academic Standing: Applicants should be in their penultimate or final year of a law degree with solid academic performance.
- Working Rights: Must have unrestricted right to work in Australia.
- Availability: Able to commit to paid full‑time work for the entire 4‑week Summer or 4‑week Winter Clerkship programme.
- 2028 Graduate Programme: This clerkship is designed to identify and hire candidates for the 2028 Graduate Programme, providing a pathway to a rewarding career at Clyde & Co.
