Ferrymen NSW are the longest serving and most experienced vehicular ferry operators in Australia.

We have a casual position available to join our team of ferry operators on the Hastings River in Port Macquarie, NSW.

This role is ideal for someone seeking genuine casual employment . Hours will vary depending on operational requirements, with approximately 20-30 hours available per week . There will also be opportunities to work additional hours when permanent employees are on annual leave, personal leave, or other planned absences.

Applicants must have availability to work across a 7-day roster, including morning, afternoon and night shifts, as well as weekends and public holidays. Flexibility and reliability are essential.





The role involves operating a vehicular ferry and transporting customers safely across the Hastings River between Settlement Point and Hibbard. It is well suited to applicants who can work effectively both as part of a team and independently. Previous experience in transport, the maritime industry, or operating large plant or machinery is desirable.

Applicants should be self-motivated, well presented, and possess excellent customer service, communication and problem-solving skills. A robust commitment to safety is essential.
