We’re looking for a passionate and reliable Assistant Pastry Chef to join our friendly team and help support all areas of production.

About the Role

This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who enjoys variety and thrives in a busy kitchen. You’ll work alongside our talented team to ensure every product leaving our kitchen meets the high standards Bakealicious is known for.

Key Responsibilities

- Baking sponge cakes and cupcakes
- Preparing cake fillings, buttercreams, mousses and icings
- Filling and crumb coating cakes
- Decorating cakes and cupcakes to a high standard
- Assisting with general kitchen preparation and production
- Maintaining a clean,



organised and food‑safe workspace
- Supporting the team wherever needed during busy periods

About You

- Previous experience in a bakery, cake shop or pastry kitchen
- Confident baking cakes and cupcakes from scratch
- Experience preparing fillings, buttercreams and icings
- Able to crumb coat and decorate cakes neatly and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and pride in your work
- Reliable, organised and able to work well within a team
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and help others
