Providence Medical Umina is seeking a Urgent Care Clinic Receptionist to join our healthcare team on a casual basis . This is an ideal position for someone seeking flexible work opportunities in a agile healthcare setting. Based in Umina Beach, NSW 2257 , this role is essential to the smooth operation of our urgent care clinic, serving as the first point of contact for patients and supporting the clinical and administrative functions of our facility.
As an Urgent Care Clinic Receptionist, you will be the welcoming face of UCC Umina, ensuring patients receive excellent customer service whilst managing a fast-paced reception environment. This position plays a vital role in maintaining patient flow, managing scheduling, and supporting our clinical team to deliver quality healthcare services.
What you'll be doing
Greeting patients upon arrival and maintaining a professional, warm and welcoming reception environment
Managing patient registration, triage and check-in processes, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed accurately
Answering and directing telephone enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner
Maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to privacy legislation and clinic protocols
Assisting with administrative tasks including filing, data entry and record management
Coordinating with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient transitions through the clinic
Managing waiting areas and keeping reception areas clean, organised and welcoming
What we're looking for
Previous experience working as a receptionist, ideally in a healthcare or medical setting
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse patients and staff members
Strong organisational and multitasking abilities in a busy,
fast-paced environment
Proficiency with computer systems and reception software, including appointment scheduling systems
A calm demeanour and ability to handle difficult situations with patience and professionalism
Understanding of patient confidentiality and data protection principles
Reliable and punctual with the flexibility to work casual hours as required
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Customer service experience and genuine interest in supporting patient wellbeing
Current First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it
Preferred: experience in urgent care, emergency healthcare or a similar fast-paced clinic setting
