HCP is a child safe organisation and is committed to upholding robust child safety policies and procedures. The safety, wellbeing and best interests of every child are our paramount consideration. We are a not-for-profit, community-based preschool providing education and learning opportunities for 26 children per day, aged 3–5 years.

We are seeking a Certificate III Educator in Children’s Services (Early Childhood Education and Care) to join our team for 2 days per week — Wednesdays and Thursdays. Working hours will be 8:30am to 3:30pm with the opportunity for additional hours.

As part of our commitment to child safety, strict pre-employment screening processes will apply to the successful applicant. Referees must be included in your resume. Referees and most recent employer will be contacted to assess suitability to work within our service and a Prohibited Persons Register clearance will be conducted.

The recruitment process will also include questions relating to previous workplace performance and an understanding of mandatory reporting obligations.

Essential Documents & Experience

(All documentation will be required at interview stage)

- Certificate III in Children’s Services (Early Childhood Education) as approved by ACECQA.
- Current NSW Working with Children Check
- National Police Check
- National Child Safety Training Certificate
- Current Statement of Attainment in Child Protection: CHCPRT025 - Identify and Report Children and Young People at Risk
- Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis & Asthma Certificate/s
- Have a sound knowledge of and experience with implementing the Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Standards and Child Safety Standards
- Experience working in an early childhood environment

Tasks & Responsibilities

- Uphold child safe practices, ensuring children’s safety and wellbeing remain paramount at all times.
- Collaborate with educators to deliver a responsive curriculum aligned with the EYLF.
- Maintain compliance with relevant legislation, the NQS, and service policies.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Contribute to ongoing professional learning and meaningful documentation of children’s learning and development.
