Cook/Chef for Early Childhood Education Centre
Do you love creating healthy, delicious food for children? Cottage Academy Clayfield is looking for a passionate and experienced Cook/Chef to join our warm, family-focused centre. This is a permanent part‑time role, working 5 days per week, preparing fresh meals and snacks for approximately 75 children each day. You’ll play a vital role in supporting children’s health, wellbeing and early learning through nutritious food and fun cooking experiences.
About the Role
You will be responsible for:
Preparing morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea daily
Menu planning, ordering and stock control
Ensuring compliance with food safety standards
Planning and delivering weekly cooking experiences with children
Catering for allergy and dietary requirements
What We’re Looking For
You’ll bring:
Food Safety Supervisor & Food Handling Certificates
Cooking experience and relevant qualifications
Knowledge of Food Safety Standards
Understanding of allergies and dietary needs
A current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
A positive, fun and passionate attitude toward working in ECEC
Shifts between 6:00am – 6:00pm
