R U Hungry Minmi is looking for an experienced and reliable Weekend Cook to join our fast-paced team.

This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who thrives under pressure, takes pride in producing quality food, and enjoys working as part of a supportive team.

About the Role

Early morning maybe starts required

Casual position with the opportunity for ongoing regular shifts

Immediate start available for the right applicant

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and cook burgers, breakfasts, hot food, chips and takeaway meals to a consistently high standard

Work efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining quality and presentation

Maintain a clean, organised and food-safe kitchen

Monitor stock levels and assist with food preparation

Follow all food safety and hygiene procedures

Work closely with front-of-house staff to ensure excellent customer service





Ability to work quickly and remain calm under pressure

Robust multitasking and time management skills

High standards of cleanliness and attention to detail

Reliable, punctual and able to work independently

Current Food Safety knowledge

A positive attitude and strong work ethic

What We’re Looking For

We’re after someone who genuinely enjoys cooking, takes pride in their work, and understands the pace of a busy takeaway. You’ll need to be able to keep up during peak periods, communicate well with the team, and consistently deliver quality meals that keep our customers coming back.

Experience is essential. Applications from candidates without commercial cooking experience will not be considered.
