We are seeking an experienced nursery retail assistant to provide inviting, friendly customer service to our consumers. Our ideal candidate will have in-depth horticultural knowledge applicable to Toowoomba and surrounds gained through training and/or work experience in the region and will be able to demonstrate excellent personal skills.

Responsibilities will include –

- Responding to customer queries
- Opening and closing as per procedure
- Maintaining a healthy nursery ecosystem
- Growing and maintaining trees, shrub and flower stock
- Creating attractive plant and sale displays




- Monitoring weather conditions to maintain plant health

Requirements

- Technical training in horticulture, agriculture, landscape or similar field
- 3+ years recent work experience in horticulture, landscaping or similar field
- Detailed knowledge of plants, soil, fertilisers and growing techniques
- Skilled and friendly with excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for customer service
- Responsible and punctual
- Familiarity with POS and stock ordering systems
- LR License advantageous
- Our business operates seven days a week so a roster including weekend work should be expected.
