We are looking for a nature-loving go getter to join our Sales and Reservations team at our Ocean Safari HQ in the heart of the Daintree Rainforest where we operate three thriving businesses Ocean Safari, Turtle Rock Cafe and Safari Lodge. Located in tropical Far North Queensland.

Where the Rainforest meets the reef.

Ocean Safari is proud to be the only GBR tour operator visting 2 world heritage listed locations - The Daintree and the GBR. Ocean Safari offers an exhilarating 25 minute ride to snorkel the pristine untouched Great Barrier Reef off the Daintree Coast at Cape Tribulation. The half day Great Barrier Reef tour visits two different snorkel destinations, each with an extraordinary array of marine life and coral species.

The Ocean Safari check in office is also home to the Turtle Rock Café and Safari Lodge . Situated just 400 metres from the beach, Safari Lodge offers cabins and camp sites in the tropical Cape Tribulation rainforest and is the perfect base for exploring this famous region. The Turtle Rock Café offers freshly cooked wholesome meals, great coffee and tropical outdoor dining in a casual, friendly atmosphere. We are located in the heart of the Daintree, with beaches,



swimming holes, walks, restaurants and other tours all close by.

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

Your tasks will be to manage bookings, reservations, and customer communication for Ocean Safari, Safari Lodge and groups at the Turtle Rock Cafe. Our office is open 7 days per week, 7:30am - 5:00pm.

We also see many walk in guests visiting our merchindise store, asking for tour information and general enquiries.

Qualifications:

Responsible Service of Alcohol – Preferred

Manual Drivers Lisence - Preferred

Experience/Requirments

3-4 days a week (30-40 hours) of work.

Must be adaptable on hours and MUST be able to work weekends/school holidays/public holidays

Experience in a previous reservation role

Customer service experience ESSENTIAL

Great communication skills – verbal and written

Ability to work under pressure – manifesting 2 vessels, 8 cabins, 27 campsites daily.

High-level computer skills, encompassing Microsoft Office, POS systems, reservations systems and more..

Desire to work and live remotely (we are based in the Rainforest!).
