Shelly Beach Golf Club is seeking a Casual Sales Assistant to join our Golf Shop team. This is a casual position based at our location in Shelly Beach, NSW 2261 . As a Sales Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales within our Golf Shop, ensuring every visitor has a memorable experience whilst shopping for golf equipment, apparel and accessories. This position is integral to maintaining the high standards of service that reflect our club's commitment to member and guest satisfaction.

What you'll be doing

- Greeting customers warmly and providing knowledgeable assistance with product selection and recommendations
- Operating the point-of-sale system accurately and processing transactions securely and efficiently
- Maintaining a clean, organised and visually appealing Golf Shop workplace at all times
- Restocking shelves and displays with Golf Shop merchandise, ensuring products are well-presented and easy to locate
- Assisting with stocktaking, inventory management and ordering of new stock as required
- Handling customer inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner
- Building positive relationships with members and guests to encourage repeat business
- Promoting club initiatives, memberships and special offers to customers
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety and security procedures within the Golf Shop

What we're looking for

- Excellent customer service skills with a genuine passion for assisting customers and creating positive experiences
- Previous retail or sales experience is highly desirable
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities,



with the capacity to work effectively with diverse customer groups
- Basic numeracy skills and proficiency with point-of-sale systems or willingness to learn
- Reliable, organised and detail-oriented approach to work
- Ability to work flexible casual hours, including potential weekend and evening shifts
- Knowledge of golf or sports retail is advantageous but not essential
- A positive attitude, reliability and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
