Join a Specialist Practice Delivering Exceptional Specialist Care
Catalyst Specialist Centre provides comprehensive, compassionate care to the local community with bulk billing available for eligible patients. Working alongside the Practice Manager, we are seeking aMedical Receptionist to play a key role in the day-to-day operations of our clinic, ensuring a seamless experience for both patients and clinicians.

Key Responsibilities
Warmly welcome patients and provide a professional first point of contact
Manage appointment bookings and maintain an accurate and optimised schedule
Provide clear information to patients regarding procedures and clinic processes
Confirm upcoming appointments and ensure referrals and documentation are complete
Maintain Medicare compliance and referral validity
Support clinical staff as required
Ensure a clean and tidy environment at all times – vacuuming, changing bins as needed.
Maintain accurate patient records using Gentu and Microsoft 365 (or similar)
Process payments and manage billing enquiries (Medicare and DVA)
Manage correspondence via secure messaging platforms
Prepare patient files, new patient packs, and information resources
Monitor outstanding accounts and follow up where required
Schedule and manage the appointment calendar and apply across consultations and cardiac and other specialist investigations (e.g. ECG, Holter and heart bug, echocardiograms, stress testing, ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, bone marrow scheduling and other investigations),
coordinating with the specialist theatre, ward and cath-lab commitments.
About You
We are looking for someone who brings a great attitude and skillset to the practice.
Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist, ideally in specialist or private practice
Strong working knowledge of medical software (Gentu highly regarded)
Understanding of billing processes, Medicare, and referral requirements
Ability to drive to local practices within a 20 minute radius for ad hoc delivery of equipment as needed. Access to a car and valid NSW Drivers’ licence.
Ability to get a police check, working with children check and unlimited work rights in Australia
Proactive with the ability to problem solve basic IT issues as needed
Highly organised with strong attention to detail and accuracy
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

Skills & Experience
Minimum 1 year of previous medical or specialist practice reception experience
Exceptional customer service, communication and organisational skills
Strong multitasking, problem-solving and time management abilities
Fast, accurate typing and data entry
