CENTENNIAL BARK is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Grooming Assistant & Daycare Attendant to join our friendly team. This is a hands‑on role that combines professional grooming support with supervising our daycare dogs, making it perfect for someone who enjoys both grooming and canine care.

This position offers 30–38 hours per week , Monday to Friday, with shifts rostered between 7:30am and 7:30pm .

What you’ll be doing

As part of our team, you’ll play an important role in ensuring every dog has a safe, enjoyable and positive experience.

Your duties will include:

- Washing, drying and brushing dogs in preparation for grooming

- Assisting our groomer with bathing, coat preparation, nail clipping and ear cleaning

- Supervising and caring for dogs attending daycare

- Monitoring dog behaviour and ensuring safe group play

- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the salon and daycare

- Walking up to 4 dogs at a time (min. 45 mins)

- Providing friendly customer service to clients at drop‑off and pick‑up

- Assisting with bookings, administration and general daily operations

About you

We’re looking for someone who is reliable, energetic and genuinely passionate about working with dogs.

To be successful, you’ll have:





- Previous experience washing dogs in a professional grooming salon (essential)

- Experience working in dog daycare, boarding or animal care (highly regarded)

- Confidence handling dogs of different breeds, sizes and temperaments

- Excellent customer service and communication skills

- A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a close‑knit team

- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean, safe workplace

- Animal Studies qualifications (desirable but not essential)
