About the role

We are seeking an Experienced Dental Assistant to join our team at Northside Dental & Implant Centre in Turramurra on a part-time basis for an immediate start.

In this role, you will work alongside our dentists and specialists to ensure smooth clinical operations and exceptional patient experiences. You will be integral to maintaining our high standards of patient care and practice efficiency.

Key responsibilities

- Assisting dentists and specialists during all clinical procedures, including restorative work, preventative treatments, and implant procedures
- Preparing and maintaining treatment rooms, sterilising instruments, and ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations
- Managing patient records, scheduling appointments, and handling administrative duties as required
- Providing chairside support to patients, ensuring their comfort and explaining procedures as needed
- Taking and processing intraoral and extraoral radiographs in accordance with radiation safety protocols
- Preparing materials and equipment required for dental procedures




- Assisting with infection control protocols and maintaining the cleanliness of the clinical environment
- Supporting the dental team with reception and administrative tasks when required
- Maintaining confidentiality and professional standards at all times

What we're looking for

- Proven experience working as a dental assistant in a clinical environment
- Strong knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and terminology
- Experience with dental radiography and intraoral imaging
- Proficiency in dental practice management software and computer systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-focused approach
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of infection control and workplace safety
- Reliability, professionalism, and a positive attitude towards teamwork
- Preferred: Experience in implant dentistry or specialist dental practices
