We have a new opportunity for a brilliant Talent Acquisition Partner who has success in supporting transformations. This role is suited to a high-performing professional who enjoys working in an adapting workplace and wants to contribute to meaningful business outcomes.
Reporting to the Head of People & Performance, this position will be pivotal in managing SMC’s talent pipeline and processes, developing roles to deliver the business strategic objectives, prospecting and evaluating talent through effective processes to ensure attraction, recruitment and retention of top talent throughout Australia and New Zealand.

The Responsibilities
- Partner with hiring managers to develop and/or revise roles
- Define and scope recruitment requirements, source and attract top talent
- Develop and maintain a strong talent pipeline
- Conduct pre-employment screening
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation
- Manage the SMC Employee Referral ProgramNegotiate and manage terms of business with external recruitment agencies
- Onboarding plans and other support to ensure positive employee experience
- Ensure mid and end trial period and probation review meetings are held
- Support the completion of Exit Interviews and general offboarding processes
- Provide support to the P&P; team
- Follow current processes whilst proposing and implementing improvements
- Manage records, provide regular reports, proactively status updates
You

- Degree Qualification in Human Resources or relevant discipline.
Proven ability to manage high-volume recruitment in a fast-paced setting, delivering successful and sustainable hiring outcomes.
Proven ability and commitment to providing a positive candidate experience and fostering an engaging recruitment journey.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders, including senior leaders.
Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to balance competing priorities and meet deadlines.
A continuous improvement mindset, always looking for ways to enhance processes and drive efficiency.
Ability to balance multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment.
Able to build business understanding and strong relationships with hiring managers.
Governance requirements with Australian and New Zealand relevant Employment and Anti-Discrimination Laws
Hiring best practice methodologies including Behavioural Interviewing.
Experienced in recruiting technical sales and across a range of roles in relevant industries.
Minimum 5 years’ talent acquisition within / sourcing for clients within industrial manufacturing environments and with experience recruiting technical sales experience is highly desired.
Experience using a HRIS recruitment module &/or ATS management system, along with SEEK, Linked In and other social media platforms.
A proactive recruitment approach, with experience in talent-pooling and building strong candidate relationships to support future hiring needs.
