The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced finance professional to join Mackay Hospital and Health Service as a Senior Finance Business Partner (AO6). This role is aligned to a Senior Financial Analyst or Principal Financial Analyst, with a strong focus on executive reporting, financial modelling, forecasting and strategic financial projects.

Working closely with the Director of Strategic Finance, you'll provide high-level financial analysis and reporting that supports Executive Leadership, Board decision-making and organisational financial performance. You'll also have the opportunity to improve financial frameworks and drive meaningful change across budgeting, forecasting and financial management processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver executive financial reporting to the Executive Leadership Team and Board Committees;
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis across a large, complex organisation;
- Develop new labour analysis and funding tracking frameworks;
- Review and improve budgeting, forecasting and financial management processes; and
- Support strategic finance initiatives and special projects that influence organisational performance.

About You

You are an experienced finance professional who enjoys analysing complex financial information, improving processes and partnering with senior stakeholders to influence strategic decisions.

You'll ideally bring:

- Experience as a Senior Financial Analyst,



Principal Financial Analyst or Senior Management Accountant;
- Advanced budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling capability;
- Experience within a large, complex organisation such as healthcare, government or corporate environments;
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills;
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience producing executive-level financial reports; and
- Ability to meet Mackay Hospital and Health Service’s mandatory vaccination requirements, including MMR, chicken pox, whooping cough and TB screening.
