About the role

Stantec's Buildings team is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our growing Brisbane office. This is a rare opportunity to work on some of Brisbane’s most iconic and landmark projects, alongside nationally significant work that shapes communities and leaves a lasting legacy.

We operate across all building types, including health, education, sports and leisure, multi-residential, retail and commercial buildings. The role will enable you to thrive in a firm that boasts global expertise but with extensive local history, knowledge and presence.

What You'll Be Doing

In this role, you'll be a key member of our project delivery team, servicing a diverse range of clients across building types and scales. You can expect to:

Lead and contribute to structural engineering design across the full project lifecycle

Work on projects ranging from boutique builds to large, complex developments

Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams across health, education, sports and leisure, multi-residential, retail, and commercial sectors

Mentor and support junior engineers as a senior technical resource

Engage directly with clients, consultants, and contractors to deliver outstanding outcomes

Contribute to the development of the Structural team, be an ambassador to our brand and to our company culture.

Qualifications

About You

You're a motivated structural engineer who takes pride in technical excellence and wants to see your work make a real mark on the built environment. You'll bring:

Tertiary qualification in Civil/Structural Engineering

Chartered status (MIEAust / CPEng) or working towards it

Solid post-graduate experience in building structures (consultancy background preferred)

Strong communication skills and the ability to manage client relationships

A collaborative mindset with the drive to take ownership of your projects

Thorough knowledge of the Building Code of Australia and relevant Australian Standards

Structural software knowledge of RAM Concept,



SpaceGass and ETABS (essential)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Problem solving mindset with robust interpersonal skills
