Higgins Truck Sales is seeking an enthusiastic and driven New & Used Truck Sales Consultant to join our sales team in Toowoomba. This is a full-time position based in Charlton. As a Sales Consultant, you will be at the forefront of our business, responsible for selling new and used trucks whilst building lasting relationships with our customers. This role is integral to Higgins Truck Sales' success, as you will directly contribute to achieving sales targets and expanding our customer base in the regional Queensland market.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify, engage and qualify potential customers
- Conduct product demonstrations and present truck specifications, features and benefits to prospective clients
- Prepare accurate quotations and sales proposals tailored to customer requirements
- Negotiate sales terms and close deals in a professional manner
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business and referrals
- Follow up with leads and customers promptly to progress sales opportunities
- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, quotations and sales activity using the company CRM system
- Stay informed about truck models, specifications, pricing and market trends to provide expert advice
- Collaborate with management, finance and delivery teams to ensure smooth transaction completion
- Work towards and exceed individual and team sales targets on a regular basis

What we're looking for

- Proven experience in vehicle sales, preferably with trucks, commercial vehicles or heavy machinery, ideally specialising in American and European trucks




- Used equipment experience, especially in trailers and dollies
- Local knowledge of the transport industry
- Strong sales ability with a minimum of 5 years track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and quotas
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse customer groups
- Professional presentation and negotiation skills with a customer-focused approach
- Knowledge of truck specifications, finance options and the commercial vehicle market is advantageous
- Ability to work flexible hours including local and interstate travel
