About the role
We are seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner to work closely with the General Manager and operational leaders across ACD and Complete Air Supply (CAS).
Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role will play a key part in driving commercial performance across a multi-site business, delivering insights that support sales growth, margin improvement, inventory optimisation and cost control.
You will be responsible for maintaining strong financial discipline while influencing commercial outcomes through insightful analysis, performance reporting and business partnering.
This role is based in North Lakes, with regular interaction across our branch network and a requirement to be in the office a minimum of 3 days per week.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with the General Manager and operational leaders to drive sales, margin, inventory and cost performance.
Provide actionable financial insights, identify risks and opportunities, and support commercial decision-making.
Analyse business performance and deliver recommendations that improve profitability, operational efficiency and working capital outcomes.
Support pricing, quoting, product costing,
margin optimisation and cost management initiatives.
Challenge assumptions and influence decision-making using data-driven insights.
Spend time in branches to understand business performance, build relationships and support operational leaders.
Identify and implement improvements across commercial and operational performance drivers
Support strategic projects, business initiatives and investment decisions.
Prepare budgets, forecasts and performance analysis against plan.
Lead month-end close activities and deliver accurate and timely financial and management reporting.
Ensure accurate P&L;, Balance Sheet and Head Office reporting requirements are met.
Maintain strong financial controls, including general ledger reconciliations and month-end procedures.
Maintain standard costs and analyse key cost drivers, including purchase price variances.
Oversee inventory performance, stock reconciliation and working capital management.
About you
Experience as a Finance Business Partner, Commercial Analyst, Management Accountant or similar commercially focused finance role.
Exposure to operational environments such as distribution, manufacturing or B2B
Manufacturing accounting experience will be highly regarded
Strong ability to translate financial data into practical actions
Confidence to challenge and influence stakeholders at all levels
A proactive,
hands-on and solutions-focused mindset
Strong communication, collaboration and relationship-building skills
Strong technical accounting and financial reporting capability
High attention to detail, accuracy, and strong organisational skills.
Ability to work under pressure and consistently meet deadlines.
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics (D365) ispreferred
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Tertiary qualifications in Accounting
CA or CPAcertification
