Heart Talent is delighted to partner with a respected Sydney-based organisation to find a positive, pragmatic finance professional who enjoys contributing beyond the numbers to join this collaborative, mission-led team.

Reporting to the CEO and working in a tight-knit team; this is a diverse role that blends day-to-day accounting tasks with financial management, reporting and governance and support for organisational governance.

WHAT'S ON OFFER

12 month contract initially 4 days per week $140k + super, pro rata to 0.8 FTE boost your take home pay with salary packaging eastern suburbs hybrid working 3 days in office, 1 day WFH open, safe and transparent culture work with exceptional leadership

ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

The purpose of this role is to ensure the organisation has the financial clarity, systems and operational foundations required to effectively deliver its mission.

Working closely with the CEO and a Board committee; you’ll play a critical role in supporting both the current operational needs of the organisation and contributing to future growth, ensuring financial integrity and sustainability.

You’ll be responsible for day-to-day financial management while supporting sound governance, risk management and organisational operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- day-to-day accounting ie accounts payable, receivable,



reconciliations and general ledger managementaccurate tracking of funding and grant acquittalspreparing monthly management reports for the CEO and quarterly Board reportspresenting financial results and insights at Board and Committee meetingsleading the annual budgeting and financial planning processmonitoring performance, managing forecasting and providing financial analysis to inform decision-makingoverseeing year-end accounts, audit processes and statutory reporting managing taxation obligations and investment reportingsupporting strategic plan delivery through financial insight and performance tracking.

WE’D LOVE YOU TO BRING

- a Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or a related fieldprofessional certifications eg CPA, CA experience managing finance in a not-for-profit organisation including ACNC reporting demonstrated experience managing day-to-day accounting tasks in Xerox demonstrated proficiency in financial management, audit and accounting practicesexceptional attention to detail, analytical skills and ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.experience working with boards, auditors and company secretariesexperience with Salesforce or similar CRM systems experience contributing to organisational policies, controls, risk management or compliance frameworks (desirable)experience working through systems change, including embedding current financial or business systems and improving operational efficiency (desirable).
